One-line premise: Her childhood friend has been plotting for ten years.

Mu Shuyuan is unhappy on the day of her engagement. Her arranged fiancé is Gu Chengyun, her scummy ex-boyfriend. That night, she drinks at a bar until she ends up on her childhood friend’s abs. It was only meant to be a bit of fun, so why is her childhood friend glaring red-eyed and insisting on being the other man?

After losing his memory, Qi Ling is stuck ten years in the past, back in the year he fell for her. Luckily, his brain is still working. He fights for her, takes her from his rival, and lures his wife home.

Later, Gu Chengyun beats up Qi Ling and ends up in the hospital himself. When the newlyweds visit the “patient” before heading to the hospital, Qi Ling even brings along a bottle of vinegar.

Gu Chengyun: “Shuyuan, I knew you still loved me.”

Ever since Qi Ling claimed his place, he’s grown bold. Leaning toward his wife beside him, he says:

“Baby, give me a kiss.”

“Get lost!”

“Sweetheart, call him Uncle.”

“Uncle...”

“Good girl. Here’s a kiss as a reward.”

Uncle Gu Chengyun’s face darkens. He really did like Shuyuan, he just took the wrong path.

Qi Ling gives a haughty snort. “Uncle, have some vinegar to settle your stomach. And transfer the money you got as a wedding gift to my wife’s account while you’re at it.”

At a major showcase, Mu Shuyuan faces the media.

“Teacher Mu Yuan, what do you think of your award-winning work?”

Mu Shuyuan looks at Qi Ling below the stage. “My husband says he loves me at all times. Thank you, my mythical beast.”

Qi Ling broke his promise to her for ten years... He protected her dream all along.

Qi Ling loves her, and she has left her mark all over him.
