Dugu Yuan, an engineer from the utopian city, was ambushed and, through a twist of fate, transmigrated through a time tunnel. In his quest to return to the age of the utopia, he sought help from the immortals. Along the way, he learned that he was the chosen one of the Primordial Saints, and that only they could help him return to the utopia. Immortals from all walks of life lent him their aid, helping him transmigrate into the ancient past time and again. He met Lady Nuwa and learned that in the Age of Dharma Decline, the Heavenly Dao was flawed, human hearts had grown corrupt, Heaven faced disaster, demons ran rampant, and ghosts roamed the night.

With Lady Nuwa’s guidance, Dugu Yuan returned to the utopia and appointed his disciple, the Guanghan Immortal Maiden, to stay by his side. Together, they caught ghosts and delivered souls to the afterlife, waiting quietly for spiritual qi revival and cultivating immortal arts. When his immortal power reached its peak, he would lead countless cultivators into battle against Heaven, striding across the skies and singing as they went.

When Nuwa released the primordial force to mend the heavens with stones, a strand of that force pierced through time and space and fell into the Flame Mountain of the utopia. It took the form of a baby and was raised by mortals. Fierce and unwavering in love and hate, the child was rejected by the Age of Dharma Decline. After enduring countless hardships, he became the Demon Lord. When Dugu Yuan waged war against Heaven, he led a vast host of demons to fight alongside him, turning the Heavenly Dao on its head.

The Primordial Saints vanished from this world after the Investiture of the Gods War, and there was a deeper reason behind it. After Dugu Yuan and Wu Lie fought against Heaven, they followed the Primordial Saints’ trail all the way into the depths of the cosmos, embarking on a new journey...
