The story is set in China from the early 1980s to the early 2025s, and runs through several key stages of China's IT industry from its inception to its take-off: PC popularization, the rise of the Internet, the explosion of the mobile Internet, and the wave of artificial intelligence.
The protagonist Wang Qiang is a young man born in an ordinary family. With his love for computers and unremitting efforts, he has found his place in the wave of the times. From a young boy in a rural town to being exposed to computers in college and then entering the IT industry, Wang Qiang has experienced learning, hard work, setbacks and success. He started by writing simple codes, gradually participated in the Internet entrepreneurship boom, and eventually became an industry leader, witnessing and promoting the rise of China's IT industry.
