The story takes place in Taoyuan Village, a village with simple folk customs. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers and has fertile fields. The villagers make a living by farming and animal husbandry, and live a pastoral life without competing with the world. The three sisters of the Li family grew up under the upbringing of their parents, Li Dashan and Lin Xiu'e. The eldest sister is calm, the second sister is cunning, and the younger sister is lively. With very different personalities, they interpret their own life trajectories in the context of the times - from the childhood fun of childhood sweethearts, to the twists and turns of marriage and love, and finally reap happiness and growth in ordinary years.
