This is an era of advanced martial arts, and an era of Awakened Ones. Awakened talents fall into four types: Natural, Elemental, Special, and Mutant. Each type has nine ranks, from lowest to highest: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, and SSS.
These ranks correspond to the realms of the Awakened: Martial Artist, Martial Master, Martial General, Martial Marquis, Martial King, Martial Emperor, Martial Venerable, Martial Saint, and Martial Sovereign.
A hundred years ago, the Dark Age descended. Countless monsters and alien races emerged from another world. They preyed on humanity, but at first, Blue Star's conventional weapons could still drive them back. As the rifts between worlds continued to widen, however, ever more powerful enemies poured through, rendering those weapons useless. In that moment, Blue Star faced an unprecedented crisis.
After countless people had died willingly in battle, humanity retreated to its last line of defense and struggled to hold on.
Just when it seemed Blue Star was doomed, a middle-aged man who called himself the Human Emperor stepped forward.
Single-handedly, he drove back the alien races, then sacrificed his life to seal the rifts between worlds.
This prevented the strongest enemies from reaching Blue Star, though those of lower rank could still make it through.
Fortunately, before the Human Emperor fell, he left behind a legacy that gave Blue Star's human race the power to fight back. And so, a hundred years passed. Humanity and the alien races have been at war for a century.
The synopsis doesn't do it justice, so read the story itself. If it's not your thing, please don't flame me. The protagonist is decisive and ruthless.
The first part of this novel is okay, but the second part is hard to finish.
