The scorching sun in September was scorching the earth mercilessly, and the campus of University A ushered in the beginning of another year amid the heat wave. The school gate was bustling with activity. Private cars, taxis and buses were crowded together, and horns were honking one after another. The freshmen dragged their heavy suitcases and struggled through the crowd. The wheels of some suitcases made a squeaking sound as they stumbled on the potholed road. Their faces were filled with the ignorance of newcomers and expectations for future college life. There were fine beads of sweat hanging on their foreheads and cheeks, which shone when the sunlight hit them.
