The story of Good and Evil Have No Divide II unfolds through two interconnected murder cases:
Case One: Ren Yan, chairwoman of Yuanda Group, is imprisoned for intentional homicide. During her sentence, she gives birth to a baby boy, but just five days later, she dies under mysterious circumstances. Tests reveal that someone poisoned the milk she drank, causing a fatal heart attack. While she was hospitalized, police guarded her room. Aside from the medical staff, the only person who visited her was her lover, Hao Gang, making him a key suspect...
Case Two: On the day Ren Yan dies, a man’s body is found in a reservoir in the city. The coroner determines that he was murdered. The body bears no form of identification. The police find a lighter on him, which becomes their only lead. After careful analysis and investigation, they finally identify the victim as the head of security at Xinglong Group. The baffling part is that he had already died a year earlier. How could he have died a second time? Further investigation reveals that this seemingly insignificant security chief was involved in a major case involving billions of yuan, and was also connected to the suspect in Ren Yan’s case...
The narration is a bit long-winded, but the plot is fairly smooth. Personally, I feel that some details and logic should be clearer and more detailed. I have read too many similar books, and big data is constantly being pushed, so it is easy to compare. A novel that can be listened to in one day.
