On a moonlit night in the ancient capital, paper lanterns dye a thousand grids red, and hundreds of ghosts wake up in the shadow of the machiya. This collection of short stories is set in Kyoto and weaves hundreds of strange stories: the hair of the bridge princess floating under the Sanjo Bridge is entangled with the obsession of the drowned; the crimson wedding dress of the fox-married girl is hidden deep in the Fushimi Inari Senbon Torii; and the umbrella frame of the rain girl lingering in the night fog on the Kamogawa River drips with tears from four hundred years ago. The Tang clothes in the tailor shop were stained with blood and gave birth to a human face, the scrolls on the top of the five-story pagoda turned into Prajna eating the moonlight, and the flame of the green lantern licked the taboo on the tip of the storyteller's tongue. When the hundredth lantern goes out, you will hear a chuckle like cracking silk from behind the screen.
