Four years after transmigrating, Gu Yunsheng and his wife, Su Xingyao, divorced.

After Su Xingyao had become a CEO, she felt that she and Gu Yunsheng belonged to completely different worlds.

It never occurred to her that she had become a CEO thanks to Gu Yunsheng’s quiet support behind the scenes.

From the company’s difficult beginnings, growing from nothing to something, to his meticulous care in their daily lives, Gu Yunsheng did it all himself.

He had wanted to be the man behind Su Xingyao, to grow old by her side, hand in hand and deeply in love.

But people’s hearts change. Four years of devotion couldn’t win his beloved’s heart.

After the divorce, Gu Yunsheng appeared on the show Masked Singing Star, stepping out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight.

With “Between the Rainbows,” he sang of love’s regrets.

With “If I’d Made It Young,” he sang of the helplessness of youth.

With “Old Boys,” he sang of the heartache and helplessness of adulthood.

From complete obscurity to fame, from behind-the-scenes songwriter to a newly crowned superstar,

Gu Yunsheng made a stunning comeback in an incredibly short time.

Su Xingyao, who had once given him up, regretted it so much she could have kicked herself.
