The Legend of Turmoil in the Qin Dynasty tells the story of Su Ran, a modern university student majoring in history who accidentally transmigrates to the Qin dynasty while visiting an exhibition of Qin artifacts. Upon arriving in Xianyang, he quickly adapts to life thanks to his knowledge of Qin history and becomes acquainted with Fusu.
At court, Su Ran realizes that Zhao Gao is plotting to alter the imperial edict and put Hu Hai on the throne. To help Fusu secure his position, he accompanies Meng Tian to the frontier to fight the Xiongnu, using modern military knowledge to help the Qin army win victories. But as the First Emperor’s health declines, Zhao Gao falsely accuses Fusu of rebellion and summons him back, intending to eliminate him.
When they return to Xianyang, the situation is perilous, and Su Ran and Fusu face one crisis after another. At last, on the night the First Emperor dies, Su Ran joins forces with Meng Tian and leads a loyal army in a fight to the death against Zhao Gao. They expose his plot and help Fusu ascend the throne, changing the fate of the Qin dynasty and writing a legendary tale that spans time and space.
