The Dark Sea's Strange Tide

[Not a mindless power fantasy + ensemble cast + alternate world + fractured history]

Lin Yu is an ordinary high school senior from a small county town, on the verge of taking his college entrance exams. But then strange things begin happening at school. Most of the teachers and students start repeating the same actions for no apparent reason. No matter how many times he reports it, nobody does anything. Eventually, his girlfriend tells him the truth about the world: years ago, pitch-black monsters crawled out of the sea and have been slowly slaughtering humanity ever since.

After learning the truth, Lin Yu teams up with his childhood friend Song Ming and several classmates to escape the school...

But after splitting up at a corner, they are all captured again and taken to a mysterious underground city beneath their own.

Now, this group of newly awakened people must protect nearly ten thousand ordinary people trapped underground.

After this mission, they will finally come face to face with the real world...

And begin their journey to save it.
