I Got an Alien Spaceship and Started Surpassing Earth's Technology

Xiao Ai explained, “In the universe, the degree of brain development is an important measure of a life-form’s intelligence and potential. Generally speaking, an ordinary human’s brain is only 1% to 2% developed. Once brain development reaches 3%, they meet the basic requirements to become captain of this spaceship. After all, only someone with sufficient intelligence and potential can understand and make use of the advanced technology aboard.”

Shen Yichen’s thoughts churned. Captain of an alien spaceship? It sounded utterly absurd, but everything before his eyes left him no choice but to believe it. He thought about his current situation: his career had failed, and his life was at rock bottom. Perhaps this was fate offering him a chance to turn things around.

“Then… what do I have to do to become captain?” Shen Yichen hesitated before asking.

Xiao Ai replied, “To become the official captain, you need to repair the spaceship’s warp engine so it can travel between stars again. You also need to find the ship’s original crew, who were scattered across the universe when it crashed. Only after completing these tasks will you truly be able to take command of this spaceship.”

Shen Yichen frowned. Finding aliens? That seemed far-fetched and impractical. He had no interest in looking for aliens; he just wanted to escape his current predicament. But the advanced technology aboard the ship was undeniably tempting. If he could get his hands on it, perhaps he could pay off his debts and start his life over.

“I… I’ll think about it,” Shen Yichen said after a moment of contemplation.
