Zou Xixi is trapped in a world controlled by Them, where the original story repeats endlessly according to its plot. With memories of countless cycles, her only goal is to break free of the plot's shackles.
She meets Wen Qiyao, who is supposed to fall in love at first sight with the original heroine. The two are accidentally bound together, and Wen Qiyao gradually awakens, realizing that he is nothing but a plot tool controlled by Them.
To fight back against Their control, Zou Xixi and Wen Qiyao team up with Gu Mingyu, Ding Yu, Chen Guo, and Song Ziruo to form a six-person group. Gu Mingyu calmly draws up plans, Ding Yu and Song Ziruo join forces as the intelligence team, Chen Guo grows closer to the heroine, and eventually they recruit the heroine, who also resents being controlled.
Along the way, the Them representing balance appears. Though They offer help, Their wavering stance makes the situation even more complicated.
In their everyday lives, there is Wen Qiyao's little ploy of deliberately lowering his grades to trick Zou Xixi into tutoring him, the sweetness of the two eating together, studying, and sharing roasted chestnuts, and the six-person group planning on the rooftop and searching for clues around campus side by side.
As they contend with plot corrections imposed by Them, they learn to trust one another and grow together.
They vow to go from being puppets of the plot to masters of the world, and break free from the fate of endless reincarnation.
What a great book, the emotional descriptions are delicate and moving: sweet interactions in daily life are intertwined with tense confrontation plots, and the details of roasted chestnuts are full of life, allowing readers to feel warmth and healing despite being nervous.
The author understands me and wrote the novel I have always wanted to read.
It is very beautiful, the writing is smooth, and the narrative is clear. The author uses delicate brushwork to depict a world full of tension, making people feel as if they are actually there.
This is the first full-length novel I've read. Overall, it's quite good.
Facts aside, this book is really interesting
