You Say I’m a God, So I Become One, also known as The Ruins of Collective Faith.
System, stream of consciousness, cyberpunk.
In a modern society with highly advanced technology, social media, opinion manipulation, and collective behavior have become the dominant forces, and humanity’s reliance on “collective consciousness” has reached its peak. A mysterious force envelops the city where the protagonist lives, connecting everyone’s subconscious minds into a “Collective Faith Network.” The System is the network made manifest. The protagonist, Lin Mo, inexplicably “awakens” the power of the System, and the strength of his abilities depends on how many people believe he possesses them. The trust-value scale is clearly defined: 100 believers unlock a basic ability, such as making a coworker believe he is “lucky,” earning 100 trust points and allowing him to create simple psychological suggestions on a small scale; 100,000 believers unlock an intermediate ability, such as breaking the sound barrier, earning 100,000 trust points and granting powerful physical enhancements or superpowers; 10 million believers unlock an advanced ability, such as rewriting collective memories, earning 10 million trust points and allowing deep intervention in the memories of large groups. Lin Mo tries to control collective consciousness, but gradually realizes how dangerous his abilities are. Meanwhile, he faces threats from other System Hosts and the “Collective Faith Society.” What should he do...?
