Synopsis

When reading "My Ordinary and Great Mother", I can't help but think of my own mother. It is a real-life story. The author's mother lived a clear and bright life, especially when she gave birth to her child alone in a cave. She also had the hardships of hiding in Tibet in order to avoid the family planning policy. The maternal love that the child naturally exudes made me cry while reading it. I advise everyone to bring a handkerchief and prepare to cry when reading this book! I can't help but think of my mother. The book is mostly about my mother's daily life: breakfast cooked before dawn, clothes mended under the lamp at night, and little things told over and over again. They are all the most ordinary fireworks, but they make people feel warm inside. But the more I read about it, the more I understand that my mother's greatness is never in the earth-shattering moments—when the family was in trouble, she gritted her teeth and never said a word of hardship; when I was wronged, she didn't speak out, she just silently handed me a cup of hot soup; she used a lifetime of triviality to hide love in every little thing.
