Jiang Sa, a graduate student in archaeology, accidentally activates a thousand-year-old jade bangle and awakens the memories of a female general from the Great Ye dynasty. Her present-day identity and her ancient destiny intertwine as she lives a double life in the city.
A clash of destinies: A mysterious family of ancient martial artists hunts her down, while a transnational antiquities-smuggling ring hatches a conspiracy, drawing Jiang Sa into a feud that spans a thousand years. The prayer beads of Lou Chenxiao, the underground power broker known as “Kuo Huo Wang,” conceal a mystery and resonate with Jiang Sa's jade bangle.
Pieces of the past: As Jiang Sa investigates antiquities cases, she gradually pieces together the truth behind the fall of the Great Ye dynasty. Lou Chenxiao's true identity comes to light: he is the reincarnation of the enemy kingdom's crown prince. Amid their tangled love and hatred, the two search for redemption.
