A Chance Meeting with Wu on a Distant Road, Walking Together in the Years Ahead

Flower Shop Owner × Transferred Firefighter

Sweet-natured flower shop owner vs. retired firefighter who returns home to inherit the family business

Carefully laying her plans early on, the heroine has nowhere left to retreat

Later, they reunite after breaking up, and he has to win her back

He came to buy flowers, and she asked, “What kind do you like?”

Seeing his distinguished air, she was sure he already had someone, so she used the language of flowers to gently remind him to be faithful.

To her surprise, he shot back, “What kind of flowers are best for pursuing a girl?”

He laughed and said he hadn’t won her over yet, then asked her: “How do you pursue someone who keeps avoiding you?”

She took him for a playboy trying to hit on her, and warned him off with cool, distant replies.

But he kept closing in, bit by bit breaking down the walls around her heart.

“Big Sis, you don’t have to use the language of flowers to warn me. I don’t understand. What have I done to make you think I might be two-timing someone?”

He sounded helpless, yet sincere. “I wanted to take it slow, but you haven’t replied to me in a week. I had to be more direct.”

“What’s the best way to win someone over?”

“What I think is right might not be right for you.”

“How would you know it’s not right unless you try?”
