At the Qingxuan Sect, Zhong Ya was the beloved junior sister of everyone, until she and her master brought home Chen Chen, a quiet, taciturn boy. Now she had a junior brother to look after, and she was happy to be the one sister he could rely on. But Chen Chen's talent for cultivation was astonishing. His power quickly surpassed hers, and his status changed from "junior brother" to "Senior Brother Chen Chen," someone she could only look up to. In the end, he became the "Supreme Immortal Venerable," whose name struck fear into both the righteous and demonic realms.
She had always thought she was just an insignificant part of his journey to immortality, quietly keeping to a corner of the sect. That was until news came that he had fought the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, suffered injuries to his Dao, and lost all his cultivation. Everyone thought the Immortal Venerable was about to die.
That night, Chen Chen appeared outside her cave dwelling, covered in blood and leaning against her door. He gave her a smile despite her shock and rasped,
"Senior Sister... Now I'm the junior brother who needs you to protect him again."
