Transmigration: Something Seems Off About the Plot

[Two male leads, cultivation, ship whoever you like, author slightly unhinged]

How should I put this? My name is Lu Linyou.

I woke up one day and seemed to have transmigrated.

With a setup like mine, surely I could at least snag the protagonist role.

But what’s with running into a ghost from the start?

And what’s with being the sole survivor of the demon race?

Author, this plot you’ve given me doesn’t seem quite right, does it?

(Please don’t flame me if it’s not your thing.)
