996 in the Underworld Is Killing the Dead

Unemployed young man Chen Sanxian sets up a stall selling fakes at an antique night market. He hopes to get rich off a “spittoon just like Emperor Qianlong's,” but a family heirloom blood jade brings him under the spell of Zhu Hongling, a female ghost from the Republic of China era. Forced to sign a “ghost contract,” he becomes a worker between the worlds of yin and yang. His phone can check his merit points, his street stall becomes an underworld delivery station, and even the paper money burned by the fortune-teller next door, Huang Banxian, is mixed with foil. It's the tragic life of a modern wage slave: alive, he has a mortgage to pay; dead, he still has debts to settle in the underworld!
