Zhou Yuan, a feng shui master and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in a small town, has his quiet life disrupted by Chen Yu. Chen Yu's father went missing while exploring an ancient tomb in the forbidden mountain behind their village, and Chen Yu asks Zhou Yuan for help. The mountain's feng shui is in disarray. Although Zhou Yuan knows how dangerous it is, he cannot help but go.
Once inside the mountain, they encounter a compass spinning wildly and strange howling winds. At an artificially carved cave, Zhou Yuan is at a loss when faced with an entrance covered in moss and mysterious symbols, and stones arranged in a chaotic Bagua formation. Desperate to save his father, Chen Yu rushes inside. The group faces branching passages, swarms of insects, and walls bristling with spikes along the way.
Using his knowledge of feng shui and traditional Chinese medicine passed down through his family, Zhou Yuan opens the Bagua stone door. But while rescuing Chen Yu's father in the tomb chamber, he awakens a foul-smelling monster connected to the Bagua. In a moment of crisis, Zhou Yuan uses the Bagua principle of mutual generation and restraint along with a secret medicinal formula to subdue the monster. In the end, they escape just before the tomb chamber collapses.
This adventure opens Zhou Yuan's eyes to the mystery and danger of feng shui, the Bagua, and the I Ching, and sets him on a journey of exploration filled with the unknown.
