Searching for Love's Lament

Even when we are together,

Together, we gaze at one another

The sun sets in the west,

The moon is full, the stars are bright,

Then the sun sets in the west once more,

The moon is full, the stars are bright,

Until you leave

I will leave, too.

The wind blows sand,

Don’t grieve, the sand blinds the eyes,

Branches bend,

One leaf drifts down, another knows autumn,

The evening comes,

I look through veiled eyes,

Sand flies across the sky,

The sunset glows red,

And now,

The City of Dusk and Snow is gone!
