Ice and Snow, Blood and Fire: The Anti-Japanese Resistance's Fight to the Death

In 1931, the September 18 Incident broke out. The Chinese nation was at its most perilous hour. The hot-blooded young Liu Tiezhu witnessed the Japanese army’s atrocities and resolutely joined the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army. Though still young, he endured hardships beyond what most people could imagine. Amid peril at every turn and harsh natural conditions in the mountains and forests of the Northeast, he fought the Japanese invaders to the death and repeatedly distinguished himself through extraordinary feats. He gradually grew amid the brutal and dangerous struggle, tempered into steel at last and becoming an outstanding commander in the Anti-Japanese United Army. Leading the people of Taobei Town through one hardship after another, he dealt a devastating blow to the Japanese and puppet forces there, holding out until the final victory in the War of Resistance.

With its twists and turns and thrilling, suspenseful plot, this novel is based on real-life stories in nearly every chapter. The author also wishes to pay tribute to every great soldier of the Anti-Japanese United Army. This novella can certainly stand alongside Bright Sword.
