In another world, there is a group of powerful people with hard lives. They depend on one another, fighting their way through life against the odds. In another world, gods and supernatural powers take tangible form, and those most trusted by the gods wield their abilities to slaughter their way across the land.
But schemes are never far away, and little by little, they betray their original intentions. Greed, resentment, competitiveness, suspicion, and selfishness begin to spread.
They no longer open their hearts to others. Instead, they put on a facade, making themselves impossible to read. But even the hardest glass will shatter one day.
Two young men seem to be the only flaw in the design.
The gods are not the masters of this world. "You" are.
These people are no longer characters drawn on a page. They are you, deep down inside.
You cannot understand them, and they cannot see through you.
They are unknown, and so are you.
Then X is the best... word to describe you all.
Objective? I don't know the author! I definitely don't know him! The novel is quite good...
It's small and pretty, and feels a bit like its predecessors.
