In the chaotic Spring and Autumn period, Laozi observed the night sky and saw the Ziwei star dimmed and the imperial star wavering. He foresaw that the realm would fall into chaos five hundred years later, so he entrusted Yin Xi with the Hangu Pass Heavenly Book as a warning that the Mandate of Heaven was ever-changing. During the Warring States period, the seven kingdoms contended for supremacy. Qin rose by the Mandate of Heaven, but then the Hangu Mystical Scroll was cast into Hop. To everyone's surprise, on that very same night, ikk laid hands on the heavenly book, setting off a chain reaction and bringing the tribulation of fate forward. Afterward came King Wuling of Zhao's adoption of Hu clothing and cavalry archery, Qin Shi Huang's unification of the six states, the Chu-Han contention, Xiang Yu's suicide at the Wu River, and Liu Bang's founding of the Han dynasty. Just as the book foretold, the Mandate of Heaven kept passing from one ruler to another. The Hangu Pass Heavenly Book has endured for a thousand years, witnessing the rise and fall of dynasties, yet no one has ever fully unraveled its mysteries.
Why does the author have so many ancient prose articles? It's so awesome.
