Weren’t they supposed to fly through the sky, burrow beneath the earth, and roam the world carefree?
An official decree arrives: All mages are conscripted, with mandatory military training and management!
His teammates include a boastful Yuan Emperor wizard, a gentle young lady who’s a divine healer, and a beautiful woman with a cold expression who always seems to want to dissect him;
The instructor’s “Qi-Nourishing Soup” is practically a biological weapon, and the training objective is to tear hungry ghosts apart with bare hands;
Their rival is the obnoxious blond guy from the neighboring squad, who keeps shouting that Cheng Xiaopeng owes him his life?
They were supposed to battle with spells, so how did it turn into wooden swords and bayonets, talismans used as grenades, and a hardcore approach where you rely on yourself instead of summoning the gods?
Cheng Xiaopeng: “Wait! This isn’t how the story’s supposed to go! Is it too late to switch classes and become a tank?”
Teammate: “Quit yapping! That mutated Corpse King is charging right at you! Hold it off with your ‘Divine Firelight’! I’ll give it a good old-fashioned physical exorcism with my Five Thunder Anti-Evil assault rifle!”
Lord Hu: “If we win, remember to add five more roast chickens for me.”
