Journey to the West: Tang Monk Has Been Snatched by Strange Tales Again

A wage-slave teenager suddenly dies. When he opens his eyes again, he has somehow become Sha Wujing, the honest one among the four pilgrims in Journey to the West.

The Buddha orders the pilgrims to descend to the mortal realm once more and experience life among ordinary people.

Sha Wujing is delighted. He follows the Journey to the West production crew every day, eager to catch all the juicy gossip firsthand and watch the drama unfold.

And sure enough, reality does not disappoint. His master, Tang Sanzang, is either being carried off by a "ghost story" monster or on his way to being carried off by one.

His senior brothers, one monkey and one pig, are busy running themselves ragged every day, either rescuing their master or on their way to rescue him.

And him?

He buys a phone and installs body cameras on his master and both senior brothers, livestreaming everything. Then he stretches out in the car Little White Dragon has transformed into, happily munching on seeds and watching the drama.
