The martial world is thrown into turmoil when the Xuanpin Sect uses a blood-sacrifice ritual to summon an ancient evil spirit, putting the entire martial arts world in peril! Carrying out his master Huang Yaoshi's dying command, Lin Lin leads a group into the Nine-Star Spirit-Devouring Formation to face three trials of hell: the Nine-Star Spirit-Locking Formation, where hidden weapons rain down; the Soul-Devouring Veil, which consumes life; and the Chaos Stone Platform, where yin and yang are reversed. When Lin Lin uses his anomalous constitution to drive a sword technique from the Condensing Origin Realm and sever the seventh strand of hair, the ancient sword spirit sleeping within him unexpectedly resonates with the Holy Maiden of the Xuanpin Sect's sinister inner force!
To break the runes, Qingyun Monastery's abbot, Lingxuzi, burns away his lifespan, and an ancient trigram appears on his forehead. Xiao Yao carries a jade pendant from the previous dynasty, while her light-footed technique, Moon-Treading Star-Plucking, conceals a royal secret. And the true identity of the black-clad leader, the Xuanpin Sect's Left Protector, is none other than the martial world's alliance leader, who supposedly 'fell' twenty years ago! Even more deadly, Huang Yaoshi's final words conceal the secret of a bloody sacrifice: reversing the stone platform's runes requires the life of a dear friend!
As the blood moon hangs over the stone platform, Lin Lin's sword strikes toward the formation's core, and the Yin-Yang Chaos Formation, unseen for three thousand years, awakens! The group discovers that the so-called 'stopping the ritual' is actually a cruel trial to revive an ancient civilization. At the final moment of choice, should they sever Xiao Yao's wrist to put an end to the sinister backlash, or accept the Holy Maiden's inner force and brave the cycle of reincarnation together? Blending the fiery spirit of wuxia with ancient secrets, this story will take you into a deadly web of love, hate, life, and death, woven beneath interlocking runes!
