After I Went Blind, My Aloof Roommate Stole a Kiss

After going blind, I kept sensing someone coming close late at night. The scent of cologne on their breath narrowed it down to one of my five roommates. To expose this “mysterious person,” I pretended my sight had returned and set a trap, only to have the aloof top student Chi Che grab my wrist and call out my act. As I fled, the jade pendant he dropped revealed the truth: he was my childhood friend, the boy who had protected me at the orphanage for ten years. I stubbornly denied having feelings for him, but during an escape room game, I got so jealous watching him interact with an underclassman that I nearly jumped out of my skin. He hooked an arm around my neck and pressed me, “Can’t keep up the act anymore?” I gritted my teeth and confessed, “He’s just my cousin!” On New Year’s Eve, he braved miles of snow and wind to stand outside my home. I grabbed his collar and drew him close. “This time, I’m the one coming to you.”
