The Pearl’s Tale

Prologue: After the war between gods and demons, both sides withdrew to recover. Some unruly evil gods still hoped to seize the opportunity to rule the divine realm and take control of the Three Realms!

Seawater crashed against the rocks as golden sunlight spilled across the waves, making them shimmer.

A giant clam basked on the beach, opening and closing its shell as it absorbed the essence of the sunlight. Suddenly, a streak of light flashed across the sky, and a bright pearl fell into its shell. Startled, the clam darted back into the sea, sending up a spray of water.

The sea soon grew calm again!

A dark figure came chasing across the sky. Dressed in black and wearing a black cloak, the person was impossible to identify as male or female. They quickly searched the area, found no trace of anything, and left in frustration.

The clam, which had fled back into the sea, knew nothing of what had happened. It was hiding among the coral, trembling with fear! Soon, it felt the power of the pearl in its belly and settled down to cultivate on the ocean floor.
