The Mystic Sect’s Judgment of Life and Death

Beneath the glittering surface of the bustling city, undercurrents churn. Long-hidden arcane arts have returned to the world.

Ye Xun is a young feng shui master who spends his days wandering the antique market, scraping by on exorcisms and fortune-telling. Born under the fate of the "Lone Star of Heavenly Doom," he has the remnant soul of the arcane world’s supreme treasure, the Judge’s Brush of Life and Death, sealed within him. But with his memories missing, he has no idea that he is the sole survivor of the massacre that wiped out an entire family and shocked the arcane world twenty years ago.

Lin Wan is a cultural relic restorer with the unusual ability to see the realms of yin and yang, a gift she has had since childhood. The blood-red lotus birthmark on her collarbone makes her a target for evil spirits. When an antique jade appraisal plunges her and Ye Xun into danger, they have no choice but to join forces against a vengeful spirit that has lain dormant in the blood jade for a thousand years. After a breathtaking clash, a shocking secret comes to light: their bloodlines are mysteriously connected, and the other half of the Judge’s Brush of Life and Death’s spirit is hidden inside Lin Wan’s heart.
