Synopsis
Su Niannian, a 19-year-old art student, rushes for shelter from a torrential downpour one afternoon and ducks into a tattoo shop on the street corner called Rockthorn.
The moment she steps inside, she collides with a pair of piercing eyes. They belong to the shop’s owner, Zhao Yan. At 32 and 195 centimeters tall, he has powerful, well-defined arms covered in striking tattoos of his own design. He gives off the air of a lone wolf, warning strangers to keep their distance. He runs the shop his way, with a fierce, domineering personality that tolerates no question or challenge.
The rain shuts out the world beyond the shop, bringing two people from different worlds together. Su Niannian gradually discovers that beneath the hard shell of this man, who loves riding heavy motorcycles, hanging out in rock bars, collecting antique knives, and working out at the boxing gym in his spare time, lie hidden edges and a warmth few ever get to see.
She uses her paintbrush to capture the gentleness of the world, while he etches life’s sharpness into skin with his tattoos. A chance encounter that begins with sheltering from the rain brings a young, inexperienced art student and a rebellious tattoo artist together. Through their clashes and push and pull, they gradually come to understand the stories in each other’s eyes. Love quietly takes root, entwining two souls that otherwise would never have crossed paths. (A creation by Teacher Yu Xiaoyu) The channel owner is creating this out of love.
