Liuguang Continent, Wuyi Dynasty, Capital

Lin Ziyan, the second legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Loyalty and Valor, was guilty of misconduct and moral failings. She persecuted loyal subjects and abducted men by force, and had even lost her virtue before marriage. She should have been sentenced to death as a warning to others. However, the Marquis of Loyalty and Valor had guarded the frontier for twenty years, endured great hardship, and repeatedly infiltrated enemy camps, earning great merit in the fight against bandits and invaders. Now, deeply ashamed of his failure to raise his daughter properly, the marquis is willing to trade his many years of service for her life. Still, while she may escape execution, she cannot escape punishment. Lin Ziyan is sentenced to exile at the Nanyuan Mine. She must leave in three days and may never return to the capital!
