Wu Yao, the spirit witch of Wuxian Kingdom, bears a thousand-year-old curse. Her people have all turned into ice statues after succumbing to a disease that gradually freezes their bodies. To break their fate, she uses Huaiqing Terrace, built by Qin Shi Huang, to commune with Houtu. She learns that the curse originated in the ancient war between witches and demons. The Demon Emperor Dijun sent his young son Youwen into the human world to steal humanity's destiny. The mystery planted in the womb by their ancestor Wuxian instead scattered the Golden Crow's spirit across countless worlds, and its resentment became the soul-devouring ice curse.
Wu Yao is the spirit witch of Wuxian Kingdom. To lift her people's curse, she relies on the great god Houtu's help to travel to countless small worlds in search of Youwen, helping him absorb royal fortune and return to the vast world of mountains and seas. Only when Youwen is freed can the descendants of the Wu Clan be freed as well.
