The Extraordinary Zhang Fan

[Twists + Cultivation + Decisive and Ruthless + Slow-Paced + Somewhat Gory] (Note: The pacing is fairly slow early on, with lots of foreshadowing. Best suited to patient readers.) Zhang Fan was an ordinary high school student who had always dreamed of becoming someone special and escaping an ordinary life. But after an unexpected car accident killed his parents, he somehow transmigrated into a cultivation world he had once read about. Yet the cultivation world's law of the jungle left no place for someone as soft-hearted as him. After dying a horrible death, he returned to Earth once more. The bracelet in his hand had become a tool that let him travel back and forth between worlds. But his once warm and happy home had long since fallen apart. His parents' tragic deaths, the truth behind the car accident... What path would the young man choose? Would he keep living in a world where he had lost both parents? Or would he change himself, return to that merciless world, and find a way to redemption...?
