[Comedy + getting even on the spot + super-sweet 1v1 romance + hilariously unhinged ancient setting + no catfighting between women + slow and steady love]
(This new book doesn't have a rating yet, so please bear with me. Feel free to share any suggestions. My readers are always right.)
Jiang Shuyue is the sweet, simple heroine of a melodramatic palace-intrigue novel. According to the plot, she should spend her life being bullied in the palace, caught in a passionate, hate-filled romance with the emperor, unable to speak up for herself, offending everyone, and eventually being banished to the Cold Palace to die alone, only for the emperor to regret everything and pursue her too late.
But this Jiang Shuyue is no longer that Jiang Shuyue. After a college student who received nine years of compulsory education transmigrates into the heroine with the same name, she manages to lie flat in ancient times. She uses her wealth of modern knowledge to offer her opinions on state affairs and write with fiery passion, relies on the original owner's beauty to charm everyone in the harem, and turns her rivals into friends through delicious food and enthusiastic socializing with cute dogs. She happily settles into a blissful life of leisure...
She never expected to catch the eye of a man in imperial robes along the way. Wait, imperial robes?
This is not your traditional palace-intrigue novel, and the setting is entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! That's important, so I'll say it three times! I'll do my best to make the story immersive, and I usually do plenty of research. If you spot anything lacking, please let me know in the comments.
The leads are both devoted only to each other. The emperor doesn't act very emperor-like and is head over heels for the heroine. If that's not your thing, please don't read, dear readers.
The story has a wonderfully unhinged style and is mainly just for fun, so don't overthink it while reading~
This novel contains lots of descriptions of food, so it's especially good to read while eating. Overall, the writing is lighthearted and comforting.
Enjoy, everyone~
I couldn't stop laughing. I might not be that good at writing at first, but later it became more and more natural. If you like reading heartwarming little things, you can give it a try. I like the heroine's character. The author has such a positive outlook on things. It's a rare book that embodies feminism in harem novels.
