Cherry Blossom Kin

To break through the limits of human evolution, geneticist Gu Tingshen’s father launches a forbidden experiment, dragging Gu Tingshen and Tong Wei into a maelstrom. A bizarre accident fuses their DNA, turning them into “symbionts” who share vital signs and memories. The ancient genes lying dormant inside Tong Wei awaken. To unlock the “time lock” left behind by her father and save humanity, Gu Tingshen must struggle between protecting her and upholding scientific ethics. When the experiment’s side effects trigger a chain of deadly crises and the world faces a doomsday countdown trapped in a seven-day loop, these forcibly bonded “genetic kin” must tear through the lies. Caught between humanity and divinity, they join forces with a group of awakened gene-editing test subjects to defy fate and rewrite the end.

“Remember, cherry blossoms bloom for only seven days.”

“But my love for you will last forever.”
