(The protagonist is male, with no romance. This is my first cultivation novel, so the story won't focus much on the protagonist's love life. It'll probably have more everyday moments, so just bear with it and read to pass the time.)
I'm in the cultivation world, and yes, this is a real invitation to answer.
I just woke up and found I'd turned into a crow.
Not a metaphor. An actual crow!
Even crazier, I can see things other people can't, like the countless threads of karma stretching up from the ground and drifting through the air, and gray karmic burden hanging in the air like smog.
Apparently, the Heavenly Dao took on the karmic burden of the Chosen One, which is why things have become like this.
And the Chosen One? He ascended, leaving a complete mess behind. Or rather, a world soaked in blood and drained of spiritual energy.
What do I think about it?
Heh. What else can I do?
Flip the table, of course!
Luckily, the old Heaven finally came to its senses and asked me to set things right and reshape the world! (Not really.)
Just watch me turn the tide (not really), clear away the karma and karmic burden, and reopen the path to ascension!
It's a very good book. The author's writing seemed a bit jerky in the early stage, but it soon became very good. The middle and later stages are especially beautiful. I really like the ordinary, warm and occasionally ups and downs of daily life. Unfortunately, the ending is complete and fast, and the reader is still left wanting.
