Lin Yu was an ordinary martial arts enthusiast in the modern world. When a sudden earthquake struck, he transmigrated to Xuanling Continent, a world of cultivation. As soon as he arrived, he found himself in a secret realm, surrounded by a group of cultivators with menacing looks.
"That kid looks like a stranger. He must have plenty of treasures on him. Let's rob him!" shouted one burly cultivator. Lin Yu was startled, but his childhood martial arts training soon helped him calm down. He picked up a branch from the ground, gathered a wisp of spiritual energy that had mysteriously appeared within him, and attacked the group. His moves were simple, but infused with spiritual energy, they were astonishingly powerful. After only a few exchanges, the ill-intentioned cultivators were thoroughly beaten and fled in disarray.
After this battle, Lin Yu realized he seemed to have an extraordinary talent for combat. He began exploring the secret realm and soon discovered an ancient cultivation manual, the Chaos Sacred Canon. The manual was obscure and difficult to understand, but through sheer perseverance and a unique capacity for insight, Lin Yu gradually grasped its mysteries, and his cultivation began to advance by leaps and bounds.
After leaving the secret realm, Lin Yu arrived in Qingyan City. At an auction held in the city's Spirit Pavilion, he spotted a treasure called the Azure Firmament Divine Sword. The blade radiated a chilling sword aura and was said to possess the power to destroy heaven and earth. However, buying it would require an enormous amount of spirit stones. Lin Yu had no money, but came up with a plan. He learned that the auction also included an alchemy competition, and the winner would receive a generous reward, enough to buy the divine sword.
