Ye Lin in the Apocalypse

An Unassuming Doctoral Candidate Heroine VS A Devoted White-Coat Hero

When a zombie virus sweeps through a prestigious university, a group of ordinary college students are forced to fight for survival in the apocalypse. A toxicology notebook is covered in last words, drones patrol the blood-red dusk, and ancient books in the library become survival guides. Some sell out their companions for half a bottle of insulin; others kindle hope with their graduation projects. Here, the student council president’s title is worth less than half a pack of sanitary pads, and a doctorate in botany is no match for a pair of pruning shears.

Chen Yeling grips her bloodstained shears, with her advisor’s lab, the one she burned down herself, behind her. Gu Lincheng takes off his white coat, spattered with brain matter, and writes a human observation journal on the autopsy table. Rule 37 in Su Yao’s survival manual reads: “Don’t trust anyone wearing a school uniform.”
