On a dating reality show that has taken the internet by storm, Xiao Sisheng reunites with his ex-girlfriend, Jiang Qiuyue. It is no coincidence. He came here on purpose, to win her back! ...
Outside the cameras, the director’s voice rings out: “President Jiang, what brings you to this show as a contestant?” Xiao Sisheng follows the camera’s gaze toward Jiang Qiuyue, seated not far away. She happens to look over, too. Their eyes meet, but only for a moment before Jiang Qiuyue turns away, looking calm and indifferent, as if she does not know him at all. The instant their eyes meet, Xiao Sisheng’s thoughts fly back to years ago. The corners of his mouth lift unconsciously, as if he is recalling something wonderful.
Five years have passed since he went abroad. In that time, Jiang Qiuyue has gone from an inexperienced young woman to the all-powerful President Jiang of Modu. He has heard that she even joined the military, only leaving six months ago to take over the Jiang family. In a short time, she turned the family into the uncrowned ruler of Modu’s business world. When he comes back to himself, he sees that the person who had met his gaze has already turned away. His expression darkens, and sorrow wells up in his heart. A wave of disappointment washes over him. Xiao Sisheng is overcome by a strange sense of unease, and even a little fear. Can they still mend their broken relationship? But when he remembers why he came, his expression hardens with resolve. Just then, his eyes widen in shock: Ito Makoto has come up beside Jiang Qiuyue and put an arm around her shoulders.
“Qiuyue is here for me, of course. Right?”
