Married First, in Love Later: President Gu’s Cherished Canary

Scheming, sharp-minded heir to a wealthy family × glamorous superstar who can be both sweet and sassy

[Marriage first, love later + pure-hearted, aloof male lead + lively, adorably airheaded female lead + both leads have only ever been with each other]

To save her company, Ruan Lian's mother pulls out an old marriage contract arranged by the previous generation and forces her to marry Gu Pei, the eldest grandson of the Gu family. Gu Pei is the youngest chairman of the Gu Group. He is ruthless in his dealings, moody, and coldhearted.

After they marry, he barely gives her the time of day, telling her that they'll divorce whenever he gets tired of her.

She's perfectly happy with that and can't wait to escape his clutches.

Later, when he sees people on the street gazing admiringly at Ruan Lian's photos on office buildings and shopping centers, he goes home and forcefully pins her against the wall, kissing her hard. Unable to take his daily bullying, she struggles to break free, but he holds her even tighter. “Try to run, and I'll break your legs.”

Mr. CEO, you have far too much energy. Your wife is at her wit's end!
