Greek Mythology: Ares' Path to Transcendence

He transmigrates into the world of Greek mythology and becomes Ares, the newly born god of war.

By then, the Titanomachy has long since ended. Zeus has ascended the throne as king of the gods, and, together with his siblings, taken up the power to rule the sky, earth, and sea.

But that has little to do with Ares.

What he needs to figure out is how to avoid the miserable fate awaiting him: being thrashed by Poseidon, berated by Hera, and dragged out again and again by his siblings and all manner of heroes to be beaten for their battle records.

For that, Ares gives it everything he has

He becomes the variable, defeating the rebellious Titan Atlas, who holds up the sky, all by himself, and earns victory’s allegiance.

He foretells the births of his siblings and breaks through the hostile destiny laid out for them.

Then he weaves a web of magic and creates a system of blessings. Thus begins mythology.

Behold!

I am the God of War, eternally victorious, the embodiment of strength and glory.

Iron blood is my spear; royal power is my protection.

When the end of all things arrives, I shall be the twilight of all creation!
