The Nine Heavens Tribulation: Tian Jiu and Xiang Liu

[Sweet romance with angst + raising a child and winning back his love + laugh-out-loud antics + a divine beast that protects and roasts]

A golden phoenix flies through the nine heavens, while Xiangliu chases it for ages. Look up and it’s a male! That’s a children’s nursery rhyme from the Jiuzhou Continent.

“I soar through the nine heavens. How about I crown you emperor?” Tianjiu lifted Xiangliu’s face with one finger and asked imperiously.

Xiangliu, heir to the bloodline of an ancient fiendish beast, was forced to serve as a hostage because of a conspiracy.

He swore he would storm the nine heavens and make those lofty gods bow before him!

“You treat me like an ant? Then I’ll shake the firmament with this tiny body of mine!”

Tianjiu fancied herself the “most attention-grabbing character” in all three realms.

By chance, the noble, cool, and handsome Xiangliu met Tianjiu, who had sprung from the earth itself. Everything changed after he met her.

Tianjiu talked him into chasing her all over the world. One day, she conned him into a dazzling performance at the Hundred Blossoms Pavilion. The next, she handed him a broken gong, and he went around the capital shouting along with her:

“Selling accounts, selling accounts! Come run with me, buddy. I go hungry nine times in three days!”

Tianjiu was also the only person in the world who ever showed him a smile.

“Tianjiu, if you dare soar through the nine heavens, I’ll accompany you and overturn the world!”

From then on, Xiangliu wielded his sword against the heavens to keep Tianjiu safe, while she stood by his side. Together they cut down gods and demons, defied the laws of heaven, and changed their fates against all odds!

“Xiangliu, when I conquer the nine heavens, how about I crown you emperor?”

This is a journey against the will of heaven, and a love that transcends life and death!
