Gusu Hanguang Jun Lan Wangji waited for thirteen years and traveled all over the world, using flesh and blood as sacrifices and obsession as a guide, to inquire about the boundaries between life and death. He carved ice sculptures to imprison the afterimages of his old friends in the snow, burned his soul into a lamp to continue the incantation of the afterlife, burned the scars on his heart to reveal the broken heart bell, and even the whip of discipline could not break his madness even if it chewed into his bones. When the remnant soul of the foggy valley takes shape, burns paintings and carves bones, and finally embraces the remnant soul on a rainy night, only then do we realize that the reunion requires the soul to disperse. This is a tragedy with deep love as the blade and time as the sacrifice - the living are trapped in memories, carving love into tombstones, and burning the word "worth it" into wounds that will never heal.
