Reborn in 1976: Returning to the Mountain Village as a Sent-Down Youth

Lin Zhiyuan is one of Huaguo’s foremost research academicians, accomplished in numerous fields. Yet even as he lay dying in the hospital, one regret remained: his wife and child had died after he left the countryside and returned to the city.

Perhaps Heaven wanted to reward him for his contributions to the country. After his death, he was reborn in 1976, in the place where he had been sent down to work in the countryside. His wife and daughter were there, along with a group of fellow educated youths who had struggled alongside him.

In this life, he wants no fame or success. He only wants to give his wife and daughter a better life and spend his days by his family’s side.

But many things are not his to choose. Getting what you want always comes at a cost. Let’s see how he finds a balance between family and work, and leads the village on the road to prosperity!
