The Yuanchen Calamity

The Lingxiao Realm divides its power system into twelve double-hours, each corresponding to a different attribute of the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. In ancient times, the Master of the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion established the "Twelve Earthly Branches Formation" to maintain the balance of the Three Realms. Cultivators use special techniques to transform spiritual energy into "hour-elemental power" of different attributes. The power of the Zi hour is eerie and chilling, while the power of the Wu hour is blazing and fierce. The spiritual powers of different hours generate or overcome one another. Once every thousand years, a "Temporal Rift" appears, connecting the present world to the River of Time. Certain secret arts can briefly reverse time in a limited area, but their practitioners suffer the backlash of "temporal erosion."
