The mysterious and vast Snow River Continent is dominated by seven major factions, locked in constant conflict for generations. As they maintain a ruthless balance among themselves, the eighth faction, the Wenxin Order, emerges and gradually recruits numerous martial-world outcasts rejected by the seven powers.
As the Wenxin Order rapidly expands, it finally draws the attention of the other factions and is branded a heretical cult. On the very day the cult leader’s wife goes into labor, the continent’s greatest faction, the Yingyue Sect, joins forces with the smaller Linyuan City to attack the Wenxin Order. The two sides are vastly mismatched. The Order’s headquarters, built up over many years, is destroyed, and more than eighty percent of its members, including the cult leader, perish. Thus, the Wenxin Order is wiped out.
The few surviving members of the Wenxin Order eke out a wretched existence. One survivor, the Grand Protector Ye Guchi, has two disciples: Liu Tianheng and Meng Ping. This story follows the love and hatred entangling the master and his two disciples.
The story features high martial arts, divine weapons, beast taming, witchcraft and poison, mechanisms, immortality, and more.
The background setting of this book is quite grand, but who would have known that when I first wrote it, I just made up a story just because I wanted to tell a small allusion clearly. Unexpectedly, the people in the story later moved and spoke on their own, and actually broke out of the original small frame and entered a broader and more mysterious world. The characters strive to have distinct personalities, and the world must also be colorful. Readers who can persist in reading will definitely find it more interesting the more they read. It is true that the plot rhythm of this book is still slow and redundant, but first of all, this book is not a fast-paced book, and it is not written just for fun. Secondly, it is the first time that I feel that I can try to write a long story, which can be regarded as an exercise. I admit that my writing style is not beautiful, and my writing style does not seem to be too fixed. Many times my writing skills are indeed lacking, and I hope readers will forgive me.
