Livestream: I Went on a Blind Date and Matched with the Top Donor

There are countless streamers on the Mystery Voice platform. For special reasons, Zhao Jingyu is forced to remain abroad, and to make ends meet, she takes up livestreaming and PK battles.

At first, nobody shows up in her stream. Forget it, she’s just not cut out for this line of work!

Missing Chinese food, she cooks for herself, only for a big spender to see it and bluntly call it a culinary abomination.

During a PK battle, her opponent gets tens of thousands of votes. Her big spender tells her to fight back with everything she’s got. Then the opponent pulls in over a million votes, and her big spender frantically sends gifts to save her.

On the surface, the big spender picks on her every day, and they seem to have a bad relationship. Another female streamer thinks she can steal him away, but after watching for a while, she realizes that the toughest ones to win over are big spenders who refuse to admit how they feel.

Later, Zhao Jingyu’s family sets her up on a blind date, and without either of them knowing, she ends up meeting her top-ranked supporter.

At their first meeting, Zhao Jingyu has heard all about President Gu’s legendary stinginess, so she offers to pay for the meal. President Gu readily agrees.

During dinner, President Gu asks, “Miss Zhao, what kind of work do you do?”

Zhao Jingyu replies, “Livestreaming. I’m pretty popular online. I have a little over five million followers across the internet.”

President Gu says, “Then you must be quite successful, Miss Zhao. Would you mind telling me your ID? I’d like to check it out.”

Zhao Jingyu: “...”

They trade words and put on airs, going round and round. It turns out they were never strangers to begin with.
