Honkai: Star Rail: I Ate a Stellaron Raw and Became One of the Chrysos Heirs

(One heroine: Cyrene) (Includes headcanon, so please go easy if you dislike it. New story developments can easily make it obsolete.) (An alternate timeline where the Trailblazer never boarded the Astral Express.) (The first eighteen chapters cover the protagonist's background.) (The story truly enters the world beyond the Black Tide in Chapter 19.) (Readers who want to see Cyrene can jump straight to Chapter 26.)

After enduring countless hardships, Mo Bai finally swallowed a Stellaron. His consciousness wasn't destroyed; instead, he became its vessel.

But the Stellaron's consciousness seemed to have branded the Seven Sins into him, and the erasure of the mark of sloth plunged him into a deep slumber.

When he awoke, a red-haired girl came looking for him, guided by an oracle. She revealed that he was one of the Chrysos Heirs, but his slothful nature made him unwilling to embark on the journey to pursue the flame. He only wanted to keep the Nihility for company.

“Listen to me. Find the meaning of your existence.” A voice from nowhere led him to set out resolutely on an unknown journey.

Along the way, he met her, someone whose experiences mirrored his own!

In the end, Mo Bai still embarked on the journey to pursue the flame. As for why, perhaps the answer can be found in Cyrene, the shut-in princess, CP fanfic writer, and handmaiden of death's shadow.
